Job description

Ogilvy Cape Town has a vacancy for an Events Project Manager in our events department known as Ogilvy Action. We require an individual who is able to work within a team of established Project Managers whilst maintaining a strong sense of individuality.

Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:
Daily liaison with clients and Account Management Teams
Supplier research
Development of pitch presentations
Interpretation of briefs in terms of logistical execution
Development and management of budgets
Implementation and execution of event concepts
Management of third party suppliers
Management of supplier administration and disbursements
Onsite event management
Project financial reconciliation and generation of client post project reports

Requirements

Requirements include but not limited to:
Minimum of three years previous event project management experience
Ability to manage different projects across multiple brands simultaneously
Excellent communication skills
Ability to confidently manage suppliers and interface with clients
Strong financial acumen, i.e. setting up of budgets at any scale and effective management thereof
Good administrative skills – tracking of job bags, reconciliations, etc
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work within an agency structure and adhere to agency and client processes and protocols
Good attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are essential
Possess a knowledge of contemporary event ideas

Essential pre-requisites:
Experience on brand Launch’s, road shows, exhibitions, live events, outdoor festivals and retail activations
FMCG/Tobacco/Alcohol activation experience
Client service experience
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
A valid driver’s licence
Be willing to travel nationally for projects
