Police conducting a traffic stop on The Strip Friday evening arrested a wanted sex offender from Akron.

Bradford L. Dean, 33, was arrested at 5:08 p.m. in the 4500 block of Mega Street NW on a sexual battery warrant out of Jackson Township, Stark County Jail records said.

The warrant for his arrest was issued on Tuesday. Details of events that led to the charge were not listed in the jail records.

Dean was also convicted in 2006 of sexual battery, Stark County court records show. He is listed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction website as a sex offender who is required to register with authorities.
