Book on Xinhua’s listed TV company published

BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) — A book on profile and business prospect of CNC Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong listed company controlled by Xinhua News Agency, has been published in Beijing.

It is the first book of a collection published by Xinhua Publishing House to offer investors at home and abroad a systematic approach to understand China’s listed companies, the publisher announced Tuesday.

The book featured an introduction to the groundbreaking efforts of Xinhua, which is transforming itself into an omni-media group, in TV services expansion over the past three years.

Major articles on services and development trend of the company by Wu Jincai, deputy editor-in-chief of Xinhua and chairman of CNC Holdings Limited, as well as research papers by investment intermediaries, also highlighted the book.

CNC Holdings Limited debuted in Hong Kong in February 2012 through a listing initiated via a share-swap of a listed firm previously known as Tsun Yip Holdings Ltd.

Xinhua launched its TV arm, China Xinhua News Network Corporation (CNC), in 2009, which kicked off a Chinese channel in January 2010 and an English channel six months later. Both channels target audiences of all over the world via satellite, cable TV, digital media, the Internet and other platforms.
