The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will hold its quarterly “Opportunity Day”, when top managements of listed companies meet directly with analysts and investors, on February 18 – March 28. This event will spotlight 112 firms with a combined market capitalization of THB 4.8 trillion (approx. USD 161.62 billion), an all-time high.
 
“Opportunity Day is a key event to help boost opportunity for both investors and listed firms, and continuously draws interest. In this first Opportunity Day of this year, there are 112 companies, composed of 91 SET-listed and 21 mai-listed firms, joining in the event, including 18 which are in the SET50 Index and nine new listings,” said SET Executive Vice President Chanitr Charnchainarong.
 
This event will provide more and up-to-date information via Application OppDay on iPad, including the latest annual reports in Thai and English, new listing dates under the section “IPO Focus,” weekly updated factsheets on listed companies, event calendars presenting corporate actions and key economic figures of Thailand and other countries. This free application can be downloaded from the App Store, Chanitr added.
 
Companies which are new to this event are Asia Aviation pcl (AAV), Ananda Development pcl (ANAN), Beauty Community pcl (BEAUTY), JMT Network Services pcl (JMT), Panjawattana Plastic pcl (PJW), Project Planning Service pcl (PPS), Sriracha Construction pcl (SRICHA), TV Direct pcl (TVD), and WHA Corporation pcl (WHA).
 
An Opportunity Day makes it convenient for analysts, investors, and the media to find out about the business and operations of listed companies – and for firms to communicate with these key audiences. SET schedules such events after every periodic disclosure of financial statements. Throughout 2012, 175 listed companies joined the event, with live broadcasts via  webcast, up 13 percent from 2011, drawing 261,948 viewers from 118 counties to look at re-runs, rising 68 percent from a year earlier.
