Another builder plans to put up a second of its custom houses to show off at this summer’s Parade of Homes in Jerome Township.
Lewis Center-based New England Homes is constructing its second house in the subdivision for the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio’s showcase set for a Jerome Village subdivision just outside of Dublin.
The company sold its first house at Jerome Village – a four-bedroom, 3,300-square-foot home with a finished walk-out basement and swimming pool. That property was listed for sale at $630,000.
Co-owner Doug Annette said the builder started working on the foundation for the second house right after closing on its purchase of the lot Feb. 1.
“Not too many people have pulled that off,” he said.
The second house, to be listed at $600,000, will include four bedrooms but not see its basement finished.
The Jerome Village showcase will mark the fifth time New England has entered a house in the BIA annual tour.
It also becomes the second builder displaying a double dose of its work at the parade, which is set for June 15-30. I reported earlier that 3 Pillar Homes will build two houses for the upcoming tour.
