Speaking on the partnership, the Country Head for Google Nigeria Ms. Juliet Ehimuan, said: “The goal of Google Maps is to make it easier for people across the world to locate places and businesses of interest. We’re indeed excited to see more Nigerian businesses like Forte Oil using Google Places to get listed on maps. This makes it easier for Nigerians to find and engage with these businesses.
She further stated that customers can also search for places and get directions on the go, using Google Maps on their mobile phones.
“Another advantage offered by Google maps is the ability to know directions based on your travel mode. Thus, irrespective of whether you are walking, using public transportation or your own car, you can get directions for a hassle free journey. One can even use these maps to find out the missing location, which are not shown in traditional route maps.”
