Moore house features owner’s murals

Chris and Malia Moore’s house will be a Patron Home for the 62nd annual Camellia Luncheon, a fundraiser for Assistance League, on March 6.

Malia Moore, a local artist, has painted murals and textured walls throughout the home.

“I like to blend the outdoors and the indoors,” she said of her artwork.

The home was built in 1999, and the Moores have lived there since 2000.

Several rooms have been featured in magazines, including the dining room, which has a mural on the ceiling.

Outdoors, there is a patio with a guest bath, eating areas, a pool with a swim-up bar, and a complete kitchen, including commercial appliances, a pizza oven and a large-screen television.

Assistance League members Ginger Boyd and Cathie Siglow are chairwoman and vice chairwoman of this home luncheon.

Tickets for this Patron Home cost $75 and include lunch, champagne, a fashion show and an opportunity to view all six houses.

This year’s Camellia Luncheon includes two Patron Homes with ticket price and extras as listed above.

Four additional homes have a ticket price of $50. For an additional $15, visitors to these homes may purchase a ticket to view all six houses.

Tour time for all homes is 10 a.m. to noon. The tour is available only to luncheon ticket holders.
