Georgian former farmhouse on Anglesey

Georgian former farmhouse on Anglesey

This very pretty, secluded Georgian former farmhouse on Anglesey has gardens with woodland and an orchard

Said to date from the 18th century, Wigoedd is an idyllic Welsh former farmhouse described by CADW as ‘a minor gentry house comprising of a central Georgian dwelling with early 19th century later additions.’

Constructed of stone with part white painted rendered elevations under a hipped slate roof with high chimney stacks, the property has a really appealing façade and also retains much of its character inside, including period features like elegant sash windows and exposed ceiling timbers, period doors and fireplaces, plus a cast iron former range in the dining room.

Accommodation is laid out over two floors, with three formal reception rooms on the ground floor together with a study, and a kitchen/breakfast room. A staircase leads from the dining hall to an oak-floored galleried landing, off which are five bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms.
