Hopewell events encourage thriving marriages and families

Over the next few months, Hopewell invites the community to attend various events/seminars addressing marriage, finances and other topics that affect the health and well being of individuals, marriages and families. These initiatives are driven by one of Hopewell’s goals to provide resources that help married couples and families thrive in their life and relationships.

Tuesday, January 15 two seminars addressing marriage and finances will begin.

The Art of Marriage is a 6-week video-based marriage event presented by FamilyLife, known for their Weekend to Remember events. Couples and those considering marriage will have the opportunity to look at their relationship in a whole new way through this practical, funny and straight-to-the-heart series. The cost of $35 will cover a couples’ workbook pack.

Managing Our Finances God’s Way is a 7-week Crown Financial video-based seminar featuring Pastor Rick Warren. This practical series will inspire couples and individuals to live debt-free and/or manage their finances in a way that brings about financial peace. The cost of $15 will cover the course workbook (1 per couple and individual).

Both courses will be held Tuesdays at 7pm and safe and secure childcare will be provided. Registration for each is required so we can best prepare for you and your child.

Focus on the Family’s video presentation—Date Night Challenge—Making Moments Matter, will be presented on Friday, February 8 from 7—9pm. This fun night out will feature music by Mark Schultz, comedy by Michael Jr., teaching by Pastor Ted Cunningham and insights by Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley. Tickets are free and can be obtained through Hopewell’s web site and must be presented at the door.

Hopewell believes it’s good for singles to learn and laugh alongside couples. So singles are welcome (and encouraged) to attend all “couple” events.
