SC office building listed for sale – Daily Mail

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Broadcasters Association has put its headquarters building in South Charleston up for sale.

The building is at 140 Seventh Ave. It is between Huntington Banks and Nova Rubber and next door to Loved Ones In Home Care.

Michele Crist, the association’s executive director, said, “You can’t get treated any better than in South Charleston. It’s a great place to have a building. The police and all of the city officials are so helpful.

“If it sells, it sells and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t,” she said of the property. “When we built this we thought we would use it more for training. It has a big boardroom and extra offices. We just don’t need all of this space.

“We’re going to maybe look for something near the Capitol.”

The association built the 3,800-square-foot structure 19 years ago.

“It is turnkey — in perfect condition,” Crist said. “It would make a great office for lawyers or doctors.”

David Sadd of Commercial Real Estate Services in Charleston has the listing. Sadd agreed with Crist.

“The building is in really great shape,” he said. “If it was in Charleston, some lawyer would snap it up right now.”

Crist said the property has been appraised at $375,000. That is the asking price.

Bob Anderson, South Charleston’s business recruiter, said the city is sorry it might lose the association but it is a wonderful property. He noted that it comes with plenty of free parking. Crist said there are 20 parking spaces.

The West Virginia Broadcasters Association was organized in 1946. The nonprofit trade association represents radio and television stations throughout the state.
