Whether you want to bring in 2013 with the family or friends, there are several local choices Dec. 31 to ring in the New Year.
- The annual New Year’s Eve Party at the Maple Grove Community Center is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 31, 2012. The family-friendly evening includes dancing, games, crafts, an inflatable bouncer, slides, obstacle course, ice skating, swimming and more – including a countdown to 2013 and balloon drop at 9:45 p.m. The cost is $9 per person. Tickets purchased Dec. 21 to Dec. 31 will be available at the will call window (arena entrance). Tickets can also be purchased at the Community Center until 4 p.m. Dec. 31. Tickets are non-refundable. Free skate rental while available, socks are required to play in Maple Maze.
- The Lookout Bar and Grill will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Party, including food and drink specials and midnight celebration with a free champagne toast and party favors. The evening also features music by “100 Watt Jones Band.” Call The Lookout at 763-424-4365 for reservations.
- Comedian and Maple Grove resident Scott Hansen has two New Year’s Eve performances at Maple Tavern. General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Maple Tavern. The box office will open one hour before the show. Seating for the 7 p.m. show will begin at 6:15 p.m. Seating for the 9:30 p.m. will begin at 9 p.m. Dinner is available before or after the show at Maple Tavern. A full liquor menu is provided during the show.
- Just over the border in Dayton, Sundance Golf and Bowl hosts New Year’s Eve Alley Jamz from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Dec. 31 featuring a night of bowling, music and prizes. Preregistration is required. Cost is $25 per person. To register, call 763-424-4700. Space limited.
