AOL’s real estate site listed these homes as among the most expensive home for sale in Ames in October and they remain on top as of Tuesday.

No. #1 on the list is a home on Ridgetop Road. The near 4,000 square foot home was built in 1995 and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It’s currently listed at $885,000, according to AOL’s Real Estate site.

No. #2 is a home on Lindenwood Circle. The five bedroom, five bath home is 4,860 square feet and listed at $799,000 according to AOL’s Real Estate site.

No. #3 is a four bedroom, four bath home built in 1992 on Greenwood Circle. The home is 3,133 square feet and listed at $669,000, according to AOL’s Real Estate site.

For an idea of what’s at the bottom, one could buy a $50,000 home just under 1,000 square feet on E. 6th Street less than two miles from Meeker Elementary School. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, needs some work and is just a short walk from Bandshell Park.
