• The Georgetown County Republican Women’s Club will meet on Monday at the Applewood Pancake House in Litchfield Beach.

The speaker will be Janet Hightower from Sen. Jim Demint’s staff. The meeting is at noon with lunch, Dutch treat.

• The Inaugral Horry County GOP Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, with shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.

This fundraiser for the Horry County Republican Party is hosted by The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort Golf, with a four-player, captain’s choice format. The cost is $125 for single golfers and $375 for foursome. Costs include green fees, cart, lunch, beverages, free gift bags, hole-in-one contest, long drive, closest-to-the-pin, beat the pro and others.
