RIVER FALLS, Wis. – A realty company has dropped a listing for a home in River Falls, Wisconsin after a plea from the mother of three girls allegedly murdered there by their father.

A spokesperson for Edina Realty says they dropped the listing on the home at 2790 Morningside Avenue, a house where authorities say Aaron Schaffhausen killed his daughters Amara, 11, Sophie, 8, and Cecilia, 5.

The home was originally listed by Edina Realty but was pulled off the market Friday. Maria Verven, a public relations consultant for Edina Realty, says the listing was dropped after a plea by the girls mother, Jessica Schaffhausen, who feared that her ex-husband stood to make tens of thousands of dollars on the sale.

Verven says the agent who posted the home on Morningside Avenue did so after being contacted by Aaron Schaffhausen’s mother.

KARE 11 checked real estate listings for the home at 2790 Morningside Avenue, and found that the property is currently listed as “no longer available.”

Schaffhausen is currently being held in the St. Croix County Jail on three counts of first degree intentional murder, and one count of arson. Investigators say Schaffhausen fatally stabbed his daughters, then doused the home in gasoline and attempted to set it on fire.

A judge has tentatively set a three week trial that is currently scheduled to begin April 1, 2013.
