Chicago Southland free Festivals & Events Guide now available

LANSING | More than 200 festivals and events in the Chicago Southland this winter and spring are listed in the new November 2012 – April 2013 Chicago Southland Festivals Events Guide, which is now available.

Popular events in the guide include several holiday celebrations like the Tinley Park Holiday Market at the Oak Park Avenue Train Station Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo Dec. 1-23 and 26-31 and Christmas at the Brewery Dec. 23 at Flossmoor Station Restaurant Brewery. For a slice of the Iditarod race in our own backyard, there is the Monee Reservoir and the annual Musher Mania event on Jan. 12. Mark your calendars to celebrate the Irish heritage of the region at the Oak Forest Fleadh on March 9. With many of these events offering free admission, there is something for every family.

The Festivals Events guides are distributed by the Chicago Southland Convention Visitors Bureau outside the region in response to visitor inquiries, Web and leisure advertising, public relations efforts, and at various visitor information centers in Illinois.
