Talks continue on sale of £2m manor house

ESTATE agents say they are continuing to negotiate with people interested in buying the Arle Court manor house.

The 19th century house, off Hatherley Lane, is up for sale at £2 million.

A grade two-listed property, it has the potential to be converted into a hotel, restored into a private home, apartments or used as offices.

Philip Pratt, of property consultants Alder King, said: “We’ve still got four or five parties looking at it.

“We’re hoping we can get it sold fairly quickly but it’s not an easy market.

“If we’re very lucky, we might get a deal before Christmas but you just never know.”

David Bill’s company Cheltenham Studios, which owned the building, went into administration. The building still houses Manor by the Lake, which took over the weddings and conference side of Cheltenham Studios before it went into administration.

Alder King is marketing the mansion for the joint administrators.
