Per the Listing: “Stories tell that this Victorian home built in 1900 was built for Lucky Baldwin’s sister! Located on a quiet street, this unique, character home has not been on the market in 39 years. Offering many original features you will also find important upgrades such as: foundation bolting and updated electrical from the original knob tube. The 4 bedrooms are upstairs with a large bath featuring a claw foot tub and separate shower. The kitchen has a unique bar area surrounding the preparation area where, according to the owner, many wonderful family gatherings took place. The flowered carpet in the living room was originally woven for a local theater. Added features of this unique home include: a wood burning fireplace in the living room, high ceiling in living room, generous sized laundry room, large basement, spacious porch with hot-tub, screened-in porch and large grassy yard. There is plenty of off-street parking as well as parking for a large RV!”

This week, we challenged ourselves to find a house that could potentially be haunted, or at least scary. This one almost hit the mark as it is old (built in 1900), is linked to a figure known to possibly be haunting stuff (Lucky Baldwin is said to haunt the LA County Arboretum), has oddly shaped rooms like most haunted houses, features mirrors all over, a claw tub, a basement, and the terrifying parking for a large RV. Sadly, we could find no actual evidence of a murderous demon or poltergeist in the house, so you may just be looking at an old house.
