Wide receiver Mario Manningham (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the visiting Seahawks, but it would a surprise if he didn’t play after he finished last week’s loss to the Giants.
On the 49ers’ final drive, Colin Kaepernick’s final two passes, both incompletions, were intended for Manningham. The five-year veteran finished with five catches for a season-high 72 yards. Manningham was limited in practice this week.
As expected, left tackle Joe Staley (concussion) is also questionable. On Tuesday, Staley said he is symptom-free after sustaining a concussion in the third quarter Sunday. Per league rules, Staley must pass a battery of tests before he is cleared to play. If Staley can’t suit up, Alex Boone would shift over from right guard and make his first career start at left tackle. Twelve-year veteran Leonard Davis would make his 156th career start – but first since 2010 – at right guard.
Running back Brandon Jacobs (knee) remains listed as questionable. Last week, Jacobs said he’s been healthy since Week 4 before revising his assessment a day later.
For the Seahawks, coach Pete Carroll said Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor (ankle) will play despite being limited in practice this week. Chancellor had season-highs with 10 tackles in each of the two meeting against the 49ers in 2011.
