A former mayor, a high-powered attorney, a real estate mogul and financier have all been accused by police of being clients of a Zumba instructor turned alleged prostitute in a scandal that has rocked the small Maine town of Kennebunk.

Justice Thomas Warren initially opted to release only the first and last names of the clients, however the parse information has lead to a ‘witch hunt’ among the residents of the town of 10,000 residents.

But he reversed his decision tonight revealing the full names, addresses and ages of the men accused of frequenting Alexis Wright’s ‘studio.’

Each community leader could face $200 fines for their alleged involvement, which police say was revealed by Wright, 29, herself as she secretly recorded their sessions and may have even shared them on the internet.

Yesterday, police released the first and last names of 21 of her alleged clients of the 150 they claim to have evidence of.

Of those names, a retired Colonel and Sheriff’s Deputy had to have embarrassing situations where they were branded as the clients of a prostitutes, when they were innocent.

This morning, attorneys for Maine Today Media, the parent company of the Portland Press Herald filed a a motion to reverse a temporary restraining order blocking the release of the alleged clients addresses.

All of the men are charged with a Class E Crime of engaging a prostitute, which comes with a fine of $200 if it is a first offense.

Second time offenders can be sentenced to up to six months in jail.

Police have said that they plan to list the full names and addresses of all the alleged clients once they have received their summonses.

Wright, from nearby Wells, has pleaded not guilty to 106 counts of prostitution, invasion of privacy and other charges. Mark Strong, a 57-year-old insurance agent, also pleaded not guilty to 59 counts of promoting prostitution, invasion of privacy and conspiracy at the Portland courthouse.

THE FORMER MAYOR: James A. Soule, 58, of South Portland, ME

James Soule, 58, is former mayor of the city of South Portland who served on its council for three years before stepping down.

He is also married to his wife Lydia, the pair has with three children, and he runs a replacement windows company.

James 'Jim' Soule

James ‘Jim’ Soule

Mr
Soule sparked headlines in 2007 when, in his first speech as mayor, he
claimed that Southern Maine should secede from the rest of the state.

Mr Soule – whose name is pronounced
‘Soul’ – argued his case under the long standing theory known as ‘Two
Maines’ but was defeated and left the post of mayor after just one year.

Known
as Jim, or ‘Smiley’ to his friends, Mr Soule is stocky, sports a
mustache and a shaved head and is a well known figure throughout the
region.

He was a
college football star and whilst at Bowdoin College became a record
setting running back, at one point having trials for the Dallas Cowboys.

In 2004 Mr Soule along with his father and three brothers were inducted into the Bowdoin Athletic Hall of Honour.

Three years later he was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame.

His attorney, Peter DeTroy, told the Portland Press Herald the whole scandal had been blown out of proportion.

‘I
have never in 40 years seen so much ado about so little, but that’s
more I think a function of the times we live in than anything else,’ Mr
DeTroy said. ‘It’s a Class E misdemeanor, which never generates any jail
time. It’s a fine.’

Records show that Mr Soule does not have a criminal record.

‘He obviously feels terribly about this,’ Mr DeTroy said. ‘The biggest
impact of this is on his family and his friends. That’s truly the most
dreadful situation.’

THE REALTOR: Gary D. Bahlkow, 57, of North Yarmouth, ME

Gary Bahlkow

He founded the firm more than 20 years ago and is a Member of the American Society of Foresters with connections among the rich and powerful.

Mr Bahlkow is thought to have two daughters and is a keen fisherman.

He ran into controversy in January last year when he advised media mogul John Malone on the purchase of one million acres of Maine and New Hampshire woodland.

Critics said it was just an attempt by Mr Malone to top his friend and fellow media titan Ted Turner, who owns more than two million acres and is the largest private landowner in the US.

Calls to Mr Bahlkow’s home number as well as place of work went unanswered.

THE ATTORNEY: Jens W. Bergen, 54, of Kennebunk, ME

Writing on his Facebook page, lawyer Jens Bergen describes himself as a ‘Happy Guy’ who loves his ‘great’ children Seamus, Larsen and Sofia.

He also pays tribute to his wife Gui Yun, who is originally from China, and praises her as ‘ever-constant’.

They are parishioners at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in neighboring Biddeford and take part in races with the Arundel Yacht Club in Kennebunkport.

Mr Bergen was born in Kirksville, Missouri and joined the Marine Maritime Academy where he reached the rank of third mate before leaving to teach physics and maths at Cheverus High School, a private Jesuit school for boys in Portland.

He later decided to become a lawyer and was called to the Maine Bar in 1988 and the U.S. District Court, District of Maine in 1990.

According to his website, his interests are sailing, mountain and ice-climbing and men’s league soccer.

Pictures posted show him on what appears to be an ice field wearing hiking gear.

Requests for comment at Mr Bergen’s home and work went unanswered.

He lives in a $500,000 home in New Castle, New Hampshire, which is a few yards from the waterfront.

THE RESTAURANTEUR: Peter M. Wormell Sr., 61, of Westbrook, ME

Peter M. Wormell Sr., 61, Westbrook, ME, is the owner of of Harmon’s Lunch Counter in Falmouth, Maine.

The landmark eatery has been owned and operated for the past 16+ years by Peter Wormell.

Famous for burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and fries, the quaint locale has a dedicated following.

Calls to Mr Wormell’s home have not been returned.

Her alleged client list isn’t the only secret, however, Alexis Wright went by a number of names on various pornography websites.

A search of her real name, Alexis
Wright, revealed numerous fan sites, including message boards on
explicit websites that included her many aliases.

Posters
in search of more videos of Wright listed the many names under which
she posted her films to they could find more of them. The commenters
directed their fellow fans to names like Kikicu, Lexi, Lexilove, Zumba
Whore, Maine Zumba Queen and Lydia of Kennebunk and Wells.

The
MailOnline then searched these pseudonyms and found photographs and
videos of the same woman, appearing identical to Alexis Wright, in
various states of undress and performing explicit sexual acts.

In
several cases, one commenter would inform the other that it was more
difficult to find videos since she was arrested for prostitution.

On one website where a woman listed
her name as Lexilove, she posted a nude photograph of herself and
claimed she was a ‘Dance Instructor who love to have fun (Sex) with both
men and women.’

Find

Find: Mr Strong posted this advertisement publicly on ParadModels.com of his portfolio of Alexis. MailOnline has chosen to show these photographs to show their business relationship went further than simply investing in the Zumba studio

‘I give full nude body rubs at my
studio. Appointment only!’ ‘Lexilove’ wrote. She lists Kennebunk as her
hometown and indicates that ‘Lexilove’ is bisexual and has sex three times a
day.

On pornography sites, however, ‘Kikicu’ was a prolific video star that posted hundreds of films of herself engaging in all kinds of sexual acts.

On one website which promises ‘Free Porn by Adult Amateurs’, Kikicu could be seen performing in more than 270 films.

THE CONTINUED LIST OF ‘CLIENTS’

According to police records ordered by the courts to be released, the following men were clients of alleged the prostitute:

Kenneth A. Fairbanks, 54, of Lisbon Falls, ME

Donald F. Hill, 52, of Old Orchard Beach, ME

Monie B. Hobbs Jr., 43, of North Berwick, ME

David Kline, 51, of Rye Beach, NH

Robert R. Labonte, 61, of Saco, ME

Dale P. Madore, 34, of North Yarmouth, ME

Paul A. Main, 43, of Biddeford, ME

Harry J. McMann, 55, of Portland, ME

Kevin L. Pagliccia, 39, Lyman, ME

Claude S. Palmer Jr., 47, of Oxford, ME

Philip K. Parker, 65, of Kennebunk, ME

Colin P. Powers, 39, of Scarborough, ME

Clinton J. Ray, 42, of Portland, ME

James P. White, 38, of Buxton, ME

Norman P. Crepeau Jr., 46, of Biddeford, ME

Sometimes
she would seemingly have one or two co-stars, sometimes performing alone in
public places like porches and hotel rooms, and other times performing
in her own studio.

Police
say that of the 150 suspected clients, many of them were videotaped
without their knowledge. It is unclear if those same videos populate her
pornography channel.

‘That’s
proprietary information that has been sealed by the District Attorney,’
Lt. Anthony J. Bean Burpee said to the MailOnline. ‘It just is what is
is.’

One important note is
that along with the prostitution charges Wright faces, she has also been
slapped with numerous invasion of privacy charges, which may not only
relate to her filming of the liaisons, but also her broadcasting of
them.

In one sultry solo video, she sets up the
camera and enters the frame wearing a revealing teal dress.

She spins
around the center column of her Zumba studio, mirrors covering the wall,
and proceeds to undress.

Kikicu was also not her only name – she also went by Lexi, Lexilove, Zumba Whore, Maine Zumba Queen and Lydia of Kennebunk and Wells.

Her forays on the web also included
numerous provocative images, several of them taken by none other than
Mark Strong.

Strong, a 57-year-old
insurance agent, also pleaded not
guilty to 59 counts of promoting prostitution, invasion of privacy and
conspiracy at the Portland courthouse.

VIDEO: Alexis Wright strip tease excerpt

His
lawyer, Daniel Lilley, said his client loaned money to Wright in the
belief that her Zumba studio was a good business venture.

However, the amateur photographer set up a private gallery on his website of photographs of
Alexis, which contained nude and scantily clad images of the alleged
prostitute.

MailOnline has chosen to show these photographs to establish the nature of their relationship.

One can
only surmise that this gallery was used to advertise Wright’s services
to prospective clients. He also had galleries that feature other women.

Police said Wright kept meticulous records suggesting the sex acts generated $150,000 over 18 months.

A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY: AN INTERVIEW WITH JAMES SOULE

A
75-year-old retired colonel today told how he has been forced to suffer
the humiliation of trying to convince his wife that he hasn’t been
sleeping with hookers after police released the names of 21 clients of
the alleged ‘Zumba prostitute’.

Police
revealed the list on Monday, but without addresses or dates of birth,
sparking a ‘witch hunt’ around the small Maine town of Kennebunk and the
outlying region as suspicion and paranoia sweeps the community.

Mistaken

Mistaken: Retired sheriff’s deputy Paul Main’s phone has been ringing off the hook since a person with his same name, accused of visiting a prostitute in Kennebunk, was released on Monday

James Soule today revealed how he was
caught up in the scandal and how he had to explain to his wife he was
innocent – and just shared the name of one of the alleged clients on the
list – after the name was read out on the local radio station.

Mr Soule lives in Napa, California, but has a house in the nearby Maine town of Pemaquid.

He
is considering legal action after also having to ring up his local
radio station to tell them he was not involved when he heard his name
being read out on-air.

Mr
Soule said: ‘I’m thinking about legal action over this because of the
stress this is going to cause. I had to talk to my wife explain to her
it was not me. She believes me and we are fine but it is not a
conversation we should have had.

‘I
heard my name read out on the local radio station this morning and had
to call in to tell them that it was not me. Thankfully both of my
children are overseas so probably won’t hear about this.

‘For some people it’s going to be really embarrassing, regardless of whether they are the johns or not’.

Paul
Main’s quiet evening was similarly shattered by a phone ringing off the
hook and a half-dozen TV crews showing up on his porch. Everyone wanted
to know: Was he the same Paul Main who’s been accused of visiting a
prostitute in Kennebunk?

‘I
don’t have a problem with releasing names. I think it’s a wonderful
thing, but I’ll be darned if it’s right to do it in a shoddy manner,’
said Mr Main, a retired spokesman and head of the detective division for
the York County Sheriff’s Department.

As a former law
enforcement officer, Main said releasing the names helps hold suspects
accountable for their misdeeds. But, he added, the judge should modify
his decision to protect those whose only connection to the case is
having a common name.

‘I don’t want to see other people going through the same thing that I’ve been through,’ he said.

Some observations: First, had the men involved merely bought her dinner or even expensive jewelry before sex there would be no crime. When two consenting adults have sex, even when one or both are married to others, it is no crime. When money changes hands, it’s prostitution? Prostitution is one of the silliest wastes of law enforcement’s time EVER. There are MANY more serious issues, issues which REALLY affect society, on which police resources should be focused. Second, what did these powerful men think would happen when they did pay for this woman’s favors? They would really get away with it? Lastly, why does the media take such delight in exposing the names of only these powerful men? The fact they had to pay for sex is pathetic enough. Let’s be sure to destroy their lives over their stupid mistake in as public a way as possible. DM is pandering to the lowest common denominator – as are many other members of the media.

Must be lonely in Maine. She’s nothing special and certainly not worth paying for.

Who wants to be with a woman who had hundreds of sexual encounters in a short period of time? She is plain UGLY.

This is ridiculous. They should just legalize prostitution. I agree that her filming these men without their knowledge is wrong but c’mon at least she knew their names and they weren’t out on the street. Good for her! It’s too bad that that she got caught.
