Dance to Make a Difference
Where/When: Lewisboro Town Park, Sat. Oct. 13, 10 a.m. – 3p.m
Why go: To support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Light the Night Walk on November 3rd, and a local girl who suffers from the disease, Sabrina Marciante. ZUMBA Demos will be held at 10:30am, 12:00, and 1:30. Jump for a cure in the Inflatable Castle and take part in arts and crafts, face painting, giveaways and raffles and a live Candy Land Game. Pound Ridge Harvest Festival
Where/When: Downtown Scotts Corners, Sat. Oct. 13, 2 p.m – 6 p.m.
Why go: Great food, great music, see neighbors and friends. More details can be found on the event listing. Toad the Wet Sprocket and musicians from Fox Lane High School are slated to perform.
Pricing: Cost of food, event is free.
Bedford Hills Lions Club Car Show
Where/When: The Lions Club of Bedford Hills will be hosting a Car Show on Sunday, October 14 [rain date Sun., Oct. 21) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Show will take place in the Katonah Commuter Parking Lot #3 [50 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY).
Why go: Whether or not you are a car aficionado, it’s fun to check out the variety of vintage and new cars on display. hould arrive by 8:30am; the show will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be food and various vendor tables throughout the show area.
Price: The cost is $15 to enter a vehicle in the Show. Spectator price is $5 per person, 5 yrs and under are free.
Bedford Hills Elementary School Pancake Breakfast
Where/When: Saturday, October 13, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am in the Bedford Hills Elementary School Cafeteria.
Why go: Ya gotta eat breakfast, right? Plus, it’s for a good cause! All proceeds help to offset the cost of 5th grade special events, including field trips to “Wicked” on Broadway and to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Price: The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
Bedford Village Lions Club Sports Equipment Sale
Where/When: Bedford Village Elementary School on October 12, 13 and 14. Drop off is Friday October 12 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Sale time is Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am –
3:00 pm.
Why go: Anyone can donate and/or sell (consign) their gently used sports equipment and clothing—it’s a great opportunity to get a few dollars back on sports equipment your kids have grown out of and/or pick up some quality sports equipment clothing for a good price while supporting the Bedford
Village Lions Club Foundation.

Themed Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Lantern Tours

Lyndhurst: Scarecrow Invasion
When/Where: Lyndhurst, daily during daylight hours. 635 South Broadway, Tarrytown
Why Go: Participating in this year’s Scarecrow Invasion are Irvington School District Middle and High Schools, Westlake Middle School, Mount Pleasant School District, Blind Brook Elementary School, and Another Step, Elmsford. Walk amidst this exuberant installation of over 400 scarecrows from October 12 through October 31. Then there’s the greenhouse: inside the “bones” of Lyndhurst’s spectacular 18,600 square foot greenhouse are the setting for an outdoor art exhibition, opening October 14 through November 11. Charity Golf Outing to Benefit the National Amputee Foundation SPCA of Westchester
When/Where: Friday, Oct. 12 at the Somers Pointe Golf Club, located at 1000 West Hill Drive in Somers
Why Go: Yorktown’s CobbleStone Abstract company will be hosting a small charity golf outing to benefit the Veteran’s National Amputee Foundation and the SPCA of Westchester. There will be two amputee veterans from the National Amputee Foundation, which helps all veterans. They will be playing golf. The National Amputee Foundation helps all veterans.
Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. Warm up on the range is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is a BBQ at 11 a.m. and lunch at 12:30 p.m. The cocktail reception, dinner, raffles and auction begin at 5:30 p.m.
Price: $200 per golfer for lunch, dinner and golf; dinner only $100.
