The Jets won’t have cornerback Darrelle Revis or tight end Dustin Keller on Sunday, but the Steelers aren’t looking like they are in much better shape injury-wise.

The team listed linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu as questionable in their Friday injury report. Harrison missed the opener and all of the preseason because of a knee injury that wound up requiring an operation in August. The idea was that the surgery would get him back on the field sooner, but it hasn’t happened yet. Polamalu did play against the Broncos, but he’s been battling a calf injury that has kept him from practicing this week.

Word out of Pittsburgh is that the listings may be overly optimistic. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Ralph Paulk of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report that both members of the defensive duo are expected to miss the Week Two contest. Chris Carter would start once again in place of Harrison, while the Steelers could go with Will Allen or Ryan Mundy at safety.

All of the injuries rob the matchup of a good deal of its star power, although it should still be interesting to see how the teams are able to adjust to missing key parts.
