Memorial Service — 8 a.m., Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Firehouse, 181 Ballard Road, Mongaup Valley. Beam of 116 pounds recovered from ground zero to be dedicated.

Memorial Service — 8:30 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park, Warwick. Hosted by the Warwick American Legion, Township Post 214. The general public is invited.

9/11 Observance — 8:30 a.m., Gerry Center Conference Room, Recovery Center, 396 Broadway, Monticello. Open to the public.

Patriot Day Memorial Service — 8:30 a.m., Cantine Veterans Memorial Field Complex, Market Street, Saugerties. Ceremony in the memorial garden. Open to the public, but seating is limited; bring a lawn chair.

Memorial Service — 8:30 a.m., Deerpark Town Hall, 420 Route 209, Huguenot. With participation from the Port Jervis School District. Names of active military will be read. Refreshments after service.

Memorial Ceremony — 10 a.m., Robert Post Park, Park Road, Ulster. A collaboration of local fire companies. A wreath will be tossed into the water at 10:28 a.m., corresponding with the time of the North Tower collapse. A special rendition of “America the Beautiful” by students from the Crosby School, plus performances by local artists.

Sept. 11 Remembrance — 4 p.m., Price Chopper parking lot, 511 Schutt Road Ext., Town of Wallkill. Music and art show. 692-7800.

Patriot Day Ceremony — 5 p.m., Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 41 Grove St., Campbell Hall. Guest speaker will be Lt. Col. Thomas Forrester, New York Air National Guard’s 105th Airlift Wing. Families and survivors of Sept. 11 and families of local military personnel are invited to participate in the remembrance ceremony and join the procession by assembling at the Arboretum’s Ottaway Education Center at 4:30 p.m. Following the ceremony, a “Peace Through Music” concert will be held in the raised gardens of the arboretum with Otisville Brass. Public event.

Memorial Service — 6 p.m., EMS Monument, Chadeayne traffic circle, Cornwall-on-Hudson.

9/11 Remembrance — 6 p.m., Chester Community Park, Vadala Lane, Chester. Members of young community organizations to participate in remembrance.

Memorial Ceremony — 6 p.m., Memorial Park, Highland Falls. A piece of World Trade Center steel beam will be unveiled as a new monument.

Highland Remembers 9/11 — 6:30 p.m., Highland Hose Company No. 1, Milton Avenue, Highland. A piece of steel beam from the Twin Towers serves as a memorial.

Memorial Service — 6:30 p.m., Liberty Square, Ellenville.

Memorial Service — 6:30 p.m., Highland Mills Fire House, Route 32, Highland Mills.

Patriot Day Ceremony — 7 p.m., Wurtsboro Fire Company No. 1 and American Legion Post 1266 hold candlelight service. Walk up Sullivan Street to Veterans’ Park. Wreath presentation by an FDNY firefighter and a NYPD officer and the sounding of the “Four Fives” signal on the fire bell.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony — 7 p.m., 9/11 Memorial, next to Village Hall, Sgt. Matt Kelly Square, South Blooming Grove. A candlelight vigil remembering all those who perished on Sept. 11, followed by refreshments in Village Hall.

Sept. 11 Memorial — 7 p.m., Patriot Garden, Fort Montgomery. Flag ceremony, followed by meditations and choral tributes.

Memorial Ceremony — 7 p.m., 9/11 Pavilion, Crane Park, Monroe.

Memorial Service — 7 p.m., Monticello Fire House, Richardson Ave., Monticello. Parade and wreath-laying ceremony. Speech by FDNY member and 9/11 survivor Bill Butler.

A 9/11 Memorial Tribute — Greenwood Lake Public Library, 79 Waterstone Road, Greenwood Lake. Through Sept. 16. The art exhibit honors the memory of those who perished on Sept. 11, 2001. 477-8377, ext. 108. kcorrado@rclr.org.
