Despite being worth a reported $18m, Jennifer Love Hewitt appears to be in need of a little cash.

Not only is she listing her house for sale, but she is also renting another home on the same street.

The 33-year-old owns both properties in the high end Los Angeles suburb of Toluca Lake – with both houses located on Toluca Lake Avenue against the sunny backdrop of California.

In need of cash? Jennifer Love Hewitt has listed a house for sale and a house for rent across the street from each other in LA, with both properties in the Toluca Lake suburb, located on Toluca Lake Avenue

Peek inside: The actress bought the first ‘traditional’ property in 1998 for $1.7m and is now listing it for sale at $2.9m. The second property, Jennifer purchased for $5.5m in 2006, with The Ghost Whisperer star renting it

Love Hewitt bought the first property in 1998 for $1.7million and is now listing it for sale at $2.9m.

The six-bed, six-bath home has brass fixtures, carpeting and decorative wallpaper borders.

Sitting on a quarter-acre of land,
the broker listing describes it as a ‘traditional home with wonderful
flow for living and entertaining’.

Traditional: The house Jennifer is selling comes with its own pool, an essential in sunny California

Meanwhile… the property Jennifer is renting sits on the shores of Toluca Lake, listed at $12,500 a month

The second property, which Jennifer bought for $5.5m in 2006, is also up for rent and scenically situated on the shores of Toluca Lake.

It is said to be a little more modern that the main property, being listed at $12,500 a month.

The 3,216 sq ft pad is a Spanish-style home with four bedrooms, four baths as well as private pool, spa and lakefront dock.

Creative: A white piano is in place for moments of musical inspiration

Traditional: The kitchen area looked rather modest for a star worth an approximate $18m

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old is still scooping in the cash, with her Lifetime show The Client List having been renewed for a second season due to broadcast in 2013.

Her latest silver screen venture Jewtopia was released earlier this month.

The indie comedy, adapted from one of the longest running off-Broadway plays, tells the tale of two childhood friends who reunite as adults, with one coaching the other on how to be Jewish so he can romance a woman (Love Hewitt) and never have to make another decision in his life again.

Jennifer tweeted: ‘Empty yourself of sadness and let the universe fill you with joy’

Idealistic: The house is surrounded by greenery and, of course, Californian blue skies
