–> The officers and officials of police here will celebrate their Eid by ensuring provision of peaceful atmosphere on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, thereby, expressing their abiding love and affection for the country. This was stated by CCPO, Ahmad Raza Tahir on the eve of the festive occasion.
He said that every officer and jawan should vow not to leave any stone unturned to serve the people and ensuring elimination of crimes from the society. He said that on this sacred occasion, we should remember the Shaheeds, who laid down their lives in the performance of their duty by fighting terrorists and subversive elements in order to ensure peace and amity to the citizens.
He ordered strict action against one wheelers, those indulging in hooliganism and motorcycling without silencers. He said the special vigilance teams have been formed to take action against those indulging in such negative activities, whereas traffic wardens, Mohafiz Force, mobile squads, Elite Force and concerned SHOs have been asked to make the youth desist from such negative attitude. He appealed the parents to co-operate with Lahore Police in order to keep their children away from dangerous and fatal activities, such as one wheeling.
In his message to Lahore Police on the occasion, the CCPO said that martyrs of police who laid down their lives would always be a source of pride for the department. It is incumbent upon us to pay these brave souls and salute the patience and bravery of their families. He urged that the lessons that we have learnt during the sacred month of Holy Ramazan should be transparently reflected during the rest of the year. He assured the citizens that no effort would be spared to eradicate the scourge of crime from the society, as establishment of a peaceful society is a collective dream of the nation, which will be achieved with joint efforts.
