The developer-owned, luxury condominium unit on North Michigan Avenue where former Mayor Richard M. Daley moved shortly after leaving office — and inhabited until last June — has been listed for $2.725 million.
Daley, 70, moved into the three-bedroom unit in the Bloomingdale’s building, at 900 N. Michigan Ave., with his wife, Maggie, shortly after he retired as mayor in May 2011. Mrs. Daley died in November.

The seven-room, 3,479-square-foot unit that Daley occupied is in a 200,000-square-foot section of the building that JMB Realty converted to residential condos after J. Walter Thompson vacated the building.
After Maggie Daley lost her struggle with breast cancer, the former mayor left the unit for a nearby location. Daley’s spokeswoman, Jacquelyn Heard, declined to comment on the listing or on Daley’s housing situation.
The Michigan Avenue unit was on the market in early 2011 for $2.725 million before Daley and his wife moved in. Now, JMB Realty is again listing it for sale for the same price.
Listing agent Katherine Chez Malkin confirmed that the unit is developer-owned and back on the market, but declined to comment on Daley’s connection.
The building convenience factor for the former mayor couldn’t be beat — his investment firm, Tur Partners, has offices on the 17th floor.
The former mayor continues to own his longtime Central Station town home, which he bought in late 1993 for $410,000, but he no longer lives there.
The Michigan Avenue unit was listed July 17. Features in it include 3-1/2 baths, a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, northwest views, 10-foot ceilings, four-inch white oak floors and a Snaidero kitchen.
