Olympics 2012 Swimming: TV Coverage, Event Schedule For Wednesday

The 2012 Summer Olympics continues on on Wednesday afternoon with plenty of swimming events, including four medaling events.

A handful of Americans will compete on the day for gold, as Scott Weltz and Clark Burckle compete in the men’s 200m breaststroke, while Nathan Adrian will compete for the men’s 100m freestyle.

On the women’s side of things, Cammile Adams and Kathleen Hersey will go for gold in the women’s 200m butterfly, while the United States will compete in the Women’s 4x200m freestyle relay.

Below is the full schedule of swimming events for the day, all times listed in Eastern:

5:00 a.m. – Women’s 100m Freestyle – Heats
5:21 a.m. – Men’s 200m Backstroke – Heats
5:43 a.m. – Women’s 200m Breaststroke – Heats
6:06 a.m. – Men’s 200m IM – Qualification
6:26 a.m. – Women’s 4x200m Freestyle – Qualifying
2:30 p.m. – Men’s 200m Breaststroke – Final (Medal)
2:38 p.m. – Women’s 100m Freestyle – Semifinals
2:49 p.m. – Men’s 200m Backstroke – Semifinals
3:12 p.m. – Women’s 200m Butterfly – Final (Medal)
3:20 p.m. – Men’s 100m Freestyle – Final (Medal)
3:27 p.m. – Women’s 200m Breaststroke – Semifinals
3:41 p.m. – Men’s 200m IM – Semifinals
4:04 p.m. – Women’s 4x200m Freestyle – Final (Medal)

The men’s all-around event will air on NBC during the 11 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. ET slot on Wednesday afternoon on tape delay, with the medaling events being shown on NBC during the 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET primetime slot.
