OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) – The beachfront home where former NFL linebacker Junior Seau killed himself is on the market for nearly $2.3 million.

U-T San Diego reports (http://bit.ly/MJd6w8 ) the two-story, three-bedroom home in Oceanside, Calif., was listed Monday.

The price is significantly less than the $3.2 million Seau paid for the home in 2005.

Real estate agent John Beran, who listed the house, tells the North County Times (http://bit.ly/MJd6w8 ) that the difference is fairly typical given the weaker housing market.

Seau, a former San Diego Chargers linebacker, was 43 when he shot himself at the home in May. By law, the seller must disclose that a suicide occurred on the property.
