From Palm Beach to Miami Beach, several properties have hit – or re-emerged on – the market.

Louwana, the legendary home at 473 N. County Road in Palm Beach, hit the market anew last month. Listed at $26 million, the home was designed by Addison Mizner, built in 1919 and owned by the estate of Aimee de Heeren – the same family that has owned it since its building. The 12-bedroom, 12-bathroom, three-half-bath, waterfront home on 1.5 acres has 11,074 square feet of living space. Cris Condon, with Sotheby’s International Realty in Palm Beach, has the listing.

It’s not exactly a new listing. It went off market this spring, then went back on, said Condon, who in the listing calls it “one of the last great houses of Palm Beach, an enduring legend of architectural and historic significance.

A teardown, new-build on Allison Island on Miami Beach has also hit the market. The owner, former Florida Marlins star Edgar Renteria and his family, built and now are selling the residence. The asking price for the 12,000-square-foot home: $8.8 million.

The home, one of 42 in the island enclave, has 160 feet on the water, said Mayi de la Vega with One Sotheby’s International Realty.

“You’re away from the craziness but you’re still on Miami Beach,” she said.
