2 more O.C. mega-mansions for sale

Need an Orange County mega-mansion? Well, the selection of local villas on the official market rose by two in June.


Monthly, we track Redfin.com’s list of Orange County most expensive residential properties for sale. It’s a way we can eyeball the market for mega-mansions, residential properties priced at $20 million and above as listed on the local MLS. Our latest peek shows 13 ultra-pricey abodes officially on the market as of the end of June. That’s up 2 from May.

A little history: An even dozen were for sale in April. In March and February, the list was 11 deep. Back in January, the count was six; five in December; six for sale in November and eight for sale in October and September. Total mega-mansions for sale was nine last August vs. eight in July and 11 in June 2011.

  • 6 Inspiration in Laguna Niguel for $21 million. Has 9 bedrooms and 14 baths in 24,000 square feet.

  • 3 Montage Way in Laguna Beach for $32.5 million. Has 5 bedrooms and 7.75 baths in 7,800 square feet. Current listing was made 1/6/11.
  • 2692 Bayshore Drive in Newport Beach for $28.5 million. Has 6 bedrooms and 7.75 baths in 8,355 square feet. Current listing was made 6/7/12.
  • 21 Montage Way in Laguna Beach for $27.5 million. Has 3 bedrooms and 4.5 baths in 7,500 square feet. Current listing was made 12/2/10.
  • 31887 Circle Drive in Laguna Beach for $25.0 million. Has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Current listing was made 2/20/12.
  • 43 Linda Isle in Newport Beach for $24.5 million. Has 5 bedrooms and 7 baths in 8,088 square feet. Current listing was made 2/28/12.
  • 53 Strand Beach Drive in Dana Point for $23.5 million. Has 5 bedrooms and 6 baths in 8,838 square feet. Current listing was made 3/14/11.
  • 6 Monarch Cove in Dana Point for $23.0 million. Has 6 bedrooms and 8 baths in 12,000 square feet. Current listing was made 2/3/12.
  • 45 Strand Beach in Dana Point. Listed on April 11 at $22.5 million. It’s got 5 bedroom and 5.75 baths in 9,500 square feet.
  • 12 Bay in Newport Beach for $21.9 million. Has 5 bedrooms and 5.75 baths in 5,415 square feet. Current listing was made 11/30/11.
