Alliance
• Independence Day Celebration — Food vendors, family activities, concessions open at 5 p.m., music by Cold Shot at 6:30 p.m., fireworks at dusk, Silver Park. Rain date is Saturday.
Canton
• The Monumental 4th Celebration, 7:30 p.m., William McKinley Monument. Entertainment by the U.S. Army Concert Band and Chorus and fireworks.
North Canton
• The 35th Annual North Canton July 4th Race — Firecracker Dash for children 6 and younger, 7:45 a.m.; 2-mile course, 8:10 a.m.; 5-mile course, 8:30 a.m. Final individual registrations taken until 7:45 a.m. Fee varies. • North Canton Jaycees Annual Kids Parade, 10:30 a.m., leaving from North Canton Memorial Stadium on Seventh Street NE, heads west to Main Street, south on Main to Harmon, then west on Harmon, ending at North Canton Middle School.
• North Canton Jaycees and Suarez Corp. Industries Celebration in the Park, 6 p.m., North Canton Memorial Stadium on Seventh Street NE. Electramode performs at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. Details: www.NorthCantonJaycees.org.
• “A Star-Spangled Concert” picnic and tailgate party, 7 p.m.; Canton Concert Band performance, 8 p.m.; fireworks, 9:45 p.m.; North Canton Community Christian Church, 210 N. Main St.
Perry Township
• Fireworks, 8:30 p.m., Reedurban Presbyterian Church, 1145 Perry Drive NW. Free water and popcorn will be supplied.
Sherrodsville
• Atwood Lake Park, fireworks at dark (ignited near Atwood Lodge at 2650 Lodge Road). Rain date is Thursday.
