Dallas police say they received a report of a woman trying to sell her child through an ad in a newspaper.

Dallas 911 operators received a call from a woman who said she came to town to buy the 5-month-old boy for $4,000 but ultimately changed her mind. 

She then called 911 out of concern for the child and told police she had seen an advertisment for the child in a newspaper.

The case was turned over to the FBI, who is now leading the investigation and trying to find the woman and child.
