Summer’s here, and the weekends are packed with local festivals, fairs and other events in Hub Territory. This weekend’s events highlights include the National Pony Express re-ride in Gothenburg and Kearney’s annual Community Olympics.

June 22-24 — Kearney: Community Olympics, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Callaway: Pioneer Picnic Days.
June 23 — Kearney: Wagons West Celebration and fiddle contest, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trails and Rails Museum; Anselmo: Big Sky Jubilee; Minden: Garden walk, 9 a.m. to noon beginning at 662 S. Logan Street in Minden.
June 23-26 — Bertrand: Bertrand Days.
