Coronation Street Up For Sale After Being Refused Listed Status

Who wants to buy the iconic set?

The set of Coronation Street is set to be put on the market after the iconic set was refused listed status.

The set which has been home to characters including Sophie Webster, Norris Coleman, Tina McIntyre, Carla Connor, and Roy and Hayley Cropper over the years, was denied listed status because it is not historic enough, according to The Sun.

Many Corrie fans will disagree!

A spokesperson from English Heritage said: “The oldest buildings are less than 30 years old.”

It is thought that the set will be sold once the hit ITV1 soap moves to Salford.

Referring to the future of the set, a spokesperson from the soap said it: “continues to consider the future use of the Coronation Street set”.
