• MASON CITY — There will be a program at 10 a.m. at Pilgrim Place Senior Housing, 711 S. Illinois Ave., in observance of Older Americans Month with guest speaker Mason City Mayor Eric Bookmeyer.

• MASON CITY — A remembrance service will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Renew Center, 404 N. Federal Ave., honoring the memory of loved ones with music, poetry readings, slideshow, candle lighting and a balloon release. The service is open to the public.
