SOUTH BEND – The city’s tallest building is still on the market.
Chase Tower, which has been in receivership for nearly 15 months, was listed for sale in February with HREC Investment Advisors at an asking price of $8.3 million.
That listing contract expired May 15.
The building’s owner Dillingham Hill Real Estate, court-appointed receiver Ken Castrop and Huntington National Bank, which holds a court judgment for the building, agreed this week to extend the listing until July 1.
Neither HREC employees nor the receiver responded to questions for this article.
Jim Masters, a South Bend attorney who represents Dillingham Hill, said he doesn’t know of any potential buyers who have presented offers to purchase the 25-story hotel and office tower.
“Apparently, there are a number of people who have nosed around and asked questions,” Masters said, “but they haven’t made any offers.”
