THE National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) has property with a market value of over €1bn for sale at present.

The latest NAMA list includes the controversial Irish Glass Bottle Site in Ringsend and part of Dalymount Stadium in Phibsboro – both in Dublin.

Properties that are listed as ‘not for sale at present’ but could be sold in the future include the former Irish Glass Bottles site, which was bought by a consortium of investors for €412m back in 2006.

However, the site has also been named as a potential base for the new children’s hospital.

The agency designed to purge the banks of developer loans said it added 44 properties in March bringing the total to 1,195 as those listed as being subject to an enforcement order, some of these are for sale.

Those that are not for sale at present will be offered for sale by the relevant receiver as soon as possible and in line with NAMA strategy for the properties, the agency said.

Properties to which receivers were appointed last month include residential, commercial, development and agricultural assets in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Britain.

NAMA has now completed its evaluation of business plans covering 99pc of loans on its balance sheet.

In its statement it says it encourages potential purchasers who may be interested in properties listed on this site to submit expressions of interest to the relevant receivers or, where applicable, sales agents.

NAMA says that its priority is to maximise the return for the taxpayer.
