With a little more than five months until the 2012 NFL season, diehard fans are already planning out their TV times based off the recently released NFL season schedule. Whether you live alone or with a full family, there could be some potential game conflicts or remote wars based off five upcoming live events.
Even if you have no one to fight over the TV for, choosing what event to record or watch live could be tricky because of social media spoilers, the anticipation of the event and even fantasy football scores.
MLB World Series – Sunday, October 28, 2012
The 2012 MLB World Series is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, making it very likely that the third or fourth game in the series will take place on a Sunday. If this occurs, you’ll be flipping back and forth between the World Series and a highly anticipated match-up between the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Depending on how good Peyton Manning does with the Broncos, this could be one of the best games of the year.
WSOP Final Table – Sunday, October 28, 2012
It looks like ESPN will take a huge gamble airing the World Series of Poker final table up against the World Series and Sunday Night Football. The live poker will be entertaining, but a lot of hands could end up dragging on and result in a DVR-caliber show. Plus, the final two will square off on the following Tuesday night where plenty of recaps will likely take place.

This could could see potential main events with stars like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho and Cena. AFC fans will have a tough time choosing as the heavy divisional rivalry between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers continues on Sunday Night Football.

As TV stars win awards for best acting, we’ll see how Tom Brady’s angry face can hold up against the Raven’s defense.
MTV’s Video Music Awards – Sunday, September 9, 2012
