Before the late Catalan painter’s work gets a major retrospective at the National Gallery of Art next month, the Kreeger Museum will display its complete Joan Miró holdings, a collection of 36 ebullient etchings.
The stage version of Yasmina Reza’s Tony Award-winning play is a much more memorable affair than Roman Polanski’s 2011 film adaptation, “Carnage.” It tells the story of two yuppie Brooklyn couples melting down after a playground incident between their sons, and opens this week at Signature Theatre.

Baseball season is here, and the Nationals are back in action with Stephen Strasburg and some new offseason pickups. See the team’s home opener Thursday and check out the new Fairgrounds complex, which replaces Bullpen and Das Bullpen to bring pregaming to a whole new level.
Saturday
The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic has the disaster back in the public eye. During a ceremony of remembrance at the Titanic Memorial, Waterfront Park will be lit by 1,547 lights, representing those who died; 50-foot-high images of the ship and her passengers will be projected on nearby buildings; and an orchestra will perform “Nearer My God to Thee.”
