After Master’s win, interest pours in over Bubba Watson’s $1.45M listed …

Bubba Watson listed his lake front home in Lexington, North Carolina in February and has yet to see any takers – but is hoping his Masters crown will help change that.  The gated 5,000-square foot property was purchased in 2009 for $1.1 million.  Perched over High Rock Lake, North Carolina’s 2nd largest lake, the house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two indoor kitchens.  The 3-story home also comes with a 3 car garage, where additional living quarters are situated above to accommodate guests or hired help.  For outdoor entertaining, there’s a salt water pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and fireplace and a specially formatted exterior television.

The current price of $1.45 million is a $50,000 price cut from its original listing price.  And interest in the property has jumped after Bubba earned the Masters crown on Sunday, according to Forbes.com:

“Today the phone has been ringing off the hook,” says Tim Taylor of Tim Taylor Realty, the listing agent…“The fact that it is his house draws attention and people like to buy something with a real story.”

Bubba’s looking to unload the property since adopting his one month old son Caleb, with wife Angie, in March.  The family have been renting in Orlando, where the baby was adopted and has to stay until the adoption becomes final.  Will his new star power finally get a buyer?
