Charitable contributions

Wells Fargo has presented the American Red Cross of Alabama with $30,000 to support its recovery efforts in affected areas across the northern part of the state. The bank also donated 120 plush Wells Fargo ponies for the Red Cross to distribute to children who have been through storms and other disasters.

Katrina Samoranski, Wells Fargo district manager, presented the check to Mary Moreillon, Red Cross district executive for north central Alabama.

Company news

Adtran hosted about 65 students and faculty from Auburn University, Mississippi State, Missouri ST, Tennessee Tech, the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama in Huntsville last week for the annual Senior Design Showcase. Students took part in hands-on engineering workshops, tours of Adtran facilities and sessions with company executives. The event featured presentations and demonstrations from the universities and an engineering showcase from Adtran.

Fastsigns of Huntsville has unveiled a new branding platform with updated messaging: “More than fast. The portfolio includes more than 216,000-square-feet of retail shopping centers in Huntsville, including Promenade Madison, a 110,655-square-foot Publix, Staples and Books a Million-anchored center; Heritage Square, a 60,767-square-foot TJ Maxx-anchored center; and The Shops at Hampton Cove, a 45,470-square-foot Wal-Mart center.
