The Moose Lodge annual community Easter egg hunt will begin at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday at Dodger Stadium, with registration from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Registration fee is 50 cents, and children must register in person.
The hunt is for children 18 months through fourth grade, divided into age categories.
The rain date will be April 14.
Other towns will also have Easter Egg hunts.
Algona: 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Park, for children age 9 and younger; sponsored by the Algona Kiwanis.
Badger: 10 a.m. Saturday at Knudson Park, fifth grade and younger; sponsored by the Badger Lions Club
Callender: 1 p.m. Saturday at the city park; sponsored by the Lions Club
Clarion: 8 a.m. Saturday at the shelter house at Clarion Aquatic Center Park, the Easter bunny will serve refreshments and take pictures. 9:30 a.m. egg hunt begins. In case of bad weather, festivities will be at the High School.
Eagle Grove: 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood park, for children 10 and under.
Emmetsburg: 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith Wellness Center, for second grade and under.
Farnhamville: 11 a.m Saturday at Farnhamville city park, for toddlers through 2nd grade. The Easter bunny will be there. The event is sponsored by the Iowa BE of T.T.T. group.
Goldfield: 9 a.m. Saturday at the City Park for all kids. It will be moved to the Goldfield school in case of bad weather.
Gowrie: 1 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Park; if the weather is bad, it will be at the skating rink; sponsored by Gowrie Development Commission and Jamboree Foods.
Humboldt: 10 a.m. Saturday at Taft Park. There are three age brackets: preschool, kindergarten through first grade, second through third grades. One bicycle and one premade Easter basket will be given out for each age group. The Easter bunny will be there handing out candy and taking pictures. In case of bad weather, it will be in the middle school gym; sponsored by the Humboldt/Dakota City Noon Kiwanis.
Lake City: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Opportunity Living. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., Easter egg hunt for toddlers through age 12. Easter bunny available for pictures.
Lehigh: 11 a.m. Saturday at the ball park, for preschool through 5th grade.
Livermore: 9:30 a.m. Saturday the “Design Your Easter Egg Buddy” program begins at Livermore library. 10:30 a.m. at Lotts Creek Park is the egg hunt, for children up to 6th grade. Easter bunnies will be present to transport children from the library to the park.
Manson: 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Society front lawn. Events include egg hunt, egg toss, and bunny hop sack race. All ages welcome. Sponsored by the Methodist Church.
Pocahontas: 1 p.m. Saturday at Arlington Place, sponsored by the Pocahontas Service Club.
Renwick: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Renwick park, for children age 12 and younger; sponsored by the Renwick Ladies Group.
Rolfe: 10 a.m. Saturday at RBI gymnasium, for ages 10 and younger.
Stratford: Noon Saturday at Stratford’s city park, for sixth grade and younger; sponsored by Stratford Stride
Whittemore: 9 a.m. Saturday at Noah’s Park, for 12-year-olds and younger. If raining, the event will be at the Whittemore Community Center.
