Pet adoption day: Craft Warehouse stores in Gresham and Vancouver will host a pet adoption day, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at 604 N.W. Eastman Parkway in Gresham and 13503 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver. Both stores will feature representatives and adoptable pets from West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. Spring cleaning discount: Cat Adoption Team is offering a spring cleaning discount through April 30. Donate qualified items (appropriate donations are listed on the organization’s web site) to CAT or its thrift store and receive 10 percent off your next purchase at the Sherwood shelter’s boutique or the thrift store at 4838 S.W. Rabbit Advocates outreach: Meet rabbits available for adoption, learn about rabbits as pets or have your pet rabbit’s nails trimmed or groomed, noon-3 p.m. (but try to arrive before 2:30 p.m. for grooming and nail trims) at Western Pet Supply, 6908 S.W. Cat Food Bank: The Cat Adoption Team’s Cat Food Bank will distribute free cat food to struggling cat owners from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at the shelter, 14175 S.W. Galbreath Drive in Sherwood. The Cat Food Bank, which has distributed more than 108,000 pounds of cat food since June 2008, also seeks donations of cat food and monetary contributions. Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank: Pet food will be distributed as available to struggling pet owners from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Pongo Pet Food Bank, 910 N.E. Memorial art therapy workshop: Make a keepsake to memorialize a beloved pet that has passed away during this free workshop with art therapist and certified grief counselor Enid Traisman, 1-2:30 p.m. for families or 3-4:30 p.m. for adults (ages 16 and up) in the Community Room at DoveLewis, 1945 N.W.
