• ALGONA — The Algona High School Concert Band’s Winter Band Concert, “For America,” will be 7:30 p.m. in the Algona High School Gymnasium. Admission is free and open to the public.
• MASON CITY — A BLT: Bigwig Lunch Talk will be at noon in the conference room at Mercy’s West Campus (north of Wal-Mart). The event is part of North Iowa Connect, a group designed to connect North Iowa young people. Speaker is Anita Micich, superintendent of Mason City and Clear Lake schools. Attendees are encouraged to bring lunch.
• MASONCITY — The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting about the state transportation plan from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the North Iowa Area Council of Governments office, 526 Sixth St. S.W.
