Fenwood Estates Limited are proud to announce that their development of 2 detached houses on Martin Lane at Bawtry have been short listed in the LABC Building Excellence Awards for the ‘Best Development’ in the 2 -10 units category.
The two houses at Bawtry were completed in 2011 and although it wasn’t mandatory as part of the planning permission, Fenwood Estates proceeded to build both houses in line with Code three for sustainable homes. This meant that both units incorporated ‘eco friendly’ features throughout including a gas saving boiler, heat recovery systems, A+ rated appliances, water efficient taps, showers and baths as well as various external features; bike racks, washing line, water butt and compost bins.
On final inspection the local building inspector insisted that these properties due to the quality of the build and the amount of inclusions should be put forward for the Building in Excellence awards.
Fenwood have now been short listed and are looking forward to the LABC Award Ceremony on April 19.
