Living the Dream, Paying It Forward Black History Month Exhibit: A display recognizing local leaders, visionaries and community activists. Hours: Noon to 8 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Through March 2. Allegorical Visual Relationships: Paintings by Luvon Sheppard. Through Feb. 24. Sheppard is known for his watercolor street scenes and portraits of local African-American heroes. Over the years, Sheppard has played an active leadership role in the Rochester arts community. Rochester Museum Science Center: Exhibits include “Flight to Freedom: Rochester’s Underground Railroad,’’ explore the paths that courageous freedom seekers followed through Rochester in the fight to abolish slavery, and “Howard W. Coles,’’ learn about the historian, human rights activist, writer/editor, broadcast journalist and sociologist who founded the Fredrick Douglass Voice newspaper in Rochester. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. 657 East Ave. $12; $11 seniors and college students with ID, $10 ages 3-18, free for RMSC members and ages 2 and younger.
