Amadeus bags exclusive contract with Stoneleigh Abbey

Amadeus will cater for all events at the Grade I listed mansion, which sits in 690 acres of parkland and hosts banquets, conferences, weddings, dinners and meetings. It will also manage event marketing and sales for the venue.

Amadeus was previously one of a panel of caterers for the abbey. Tony Bird, chairman of Stoneleigh Abbey, said the care shown by Amadeus staff for the historical venue helped to cement the exclusive contract. “They understand the challenges and opportunities that working in such an historic setting presents, which is of paramount importance to us,” he said.

The abbey was built in 1154 and is open to the public on selected dates during the year. In 1996 its ownership was tranferred to a charitable trust and it underwent large-scale restoration.

Amadeus delivers catering at venues including Kenilworth Castle and Bolsover Castle and is providing all catering within Olympic Park North for the Olympics and Paralympics this summer.
