Have $29, 500, 000 lying around? Well, you could be the proud, new owner of Joan Rivers’ New York City penthouse!
Rivers has put her elaborately decorated home for sale, charging this ridiculous price tag for a four bedroom, 5, 190 square foot duplex penthouse. The real estate, which was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer in neo-French Classic style, also includes five bathrooms, a library and a terrace.
But if you’re considering this big purchase, (better save up those pennies!) remember to budget in additional expenses. Monthly taxes on the condo cost $7, 500, and there is a $12, 600 monthly maintenance charge. (Yikes!)
The extravagant Manhattan home is described in the listing as, “one of the few remaining examples of the architect’s ‘great houses’ in New York,” and “was painstakingly restored by museum-trained artisans.” (So, does a certificate of authenticity come with purchase?)
And if you can still afford to shop after handing over the dough, the home is conveniently located near Fifth Avenue.
