The following is a listing of some of the library events in January in the Fox Valley. Most libraries require registration. Call or go to specific library websites for details on any programs listed here and to see complete lists and details on all programs.
Aurora

Main Library
Teen Battle of the sexes: Girls vs. Boys in this trivia-filled game of wits. Bring your friends to help your side win. Teens 12 to 18. 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 18 in Multipurpose Room L Level. Registration ends at 9 p.m. Jan. 17.
Filling out the FAFSA: Meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 30 in Multipurpose Room L Level. Go through the FAFSA document line-by-line filling out your information, with the assistance of Anna Ma, ISACorps Outreach rep. Registration ends 9 p.m. Jan. 29. Attendee must be between the ages of 17 and 21.
eBooks: Tips, Tricks and Trends: Adult program. Bring your device and library staff will help get you started in learning how to download books from My Media Wall. 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 21. An Aurora Public Library card is required for checking out ebooks. Magan Szwarek, 630-264-4138.
West Branch
Lyric Opera Lecture — “Magic Flute”: Hear the story of Prince Tamino, who, with his magic flute and sidekick Papageno, enter the magic forest to rescue Pamina. Adults 19 and older. 2 to 3:15 Jan. 15 in the multipurpose room.

Charles Dickens — A Tale with a Twist: 19th Century author Charles Dickens, portrayed by Terry Lynch, will reflect on his life and discuss some of his best-loved works including “A Tale of Two Cities,” “Great Expectations,” “A Christmas Carol” and “The Cricket on the Hearth.” 2 to 3 p.m. Jan. 29.
