Whether you want to bring in 2012 with the family or friends, there are several local choices Dec. 31 to ring in the New Year.
The annual New Year’s Eve Party at the Maple Grove Community Center is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 31. The family-friendly evening includes dancing, games, crafts, an inflatable bouncer, slides, obstacle course, ice-skating, swimming and more – including a countdown to 2012 and balloon drop at 9:45 p.m. The cost is $9 per person. Tickets purchased online (code 44434) Dec. 22 to Dec. 31 will be available at the will call window. Tickets can also be purchased at the Maple Grove Community Center until 4 p.m. Dec. 31. If available, tickets will be sold the night of the event for $12. Tickets are non-refundable. Free skate rental while available, socks are required to play in Maple Maze. The Community Center will be closed at 4 p.m. Dec. 31 for preparations.
The Lookout Bar and Grill will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Party starting at 5 p.m., including food and drink specials and midnight celebration with a free champagne toast and party favors. The evening also features music by “Kick Start.” Call 763-424-4365 ext. 1 for reservations.
J. Cousineau’s will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Luau Bash, complete with a pig roasting and dinner buffet starting at 5 p.m. Music and dancing starting at 10 p.m. Reservations required at 763-420-8355.
Just over the border in Dayton, Sundance Golf and Bowl hosts New Year’s Eve Alley Jamz from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Dec. 31 featuring a night of bowling, music and prizes. Preregistration is required. Cost is $20 per person. To register, call 763-424-4700.
In Plymouth, Life Time Fitness and the Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Family Fitness Fun New Year’s Eve event with skating, swimming, face painting, inflatables, an open gym and more from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Life Time Fitness/Plymouth Ice Center. Concessions will be open for business, however a hot dog, chips and beverage are included in the event price. On-site registration is $12 per person and free for kids under 2.
