EnviroGuard, a leader in environmental, health and safety
compliance, is pleased to announce that its current line of spill
containment products now carry the Underwriters Laboratory (UL)
Listed Mark in Canada. This new rating is in addition to
EnviroGuard’s UL Listed spill containment systems for lead acid
battery systems in the United States.

The UL Certification Category Code for the new Canadian mark is VMXB7
and requires that spill containment systems used in
telecommunications battery rooms and similar locations provide a
reliable means of containment for hazardous-material liquids in the
event of electrolyte leakage from stationary lead-acid or similar
battery systems.

The UL Listed Mark is found on the packaging of EnviroGuard products,
indicating that the product complies with Canadian and U.S.
requirements. Patented modular lines that now carry the UL Canada
Listing include EnviroGuard’s Eagle, Condor Plus, Condor Plus Quick
Lock and Hawk Spill Containment Systems, for flooded, cabinet and
VRLA applications. All products carrying a UL Listed Mark are
monitored by UL’s Follow-Up Services program to verify that all
products and components continue to be manufactured in compliance
with UL safety requirements.
